Trey Martin
Trey started wrestling in 1980, at age 6. He continued to wrestle all through his middle school (Tuckahoe Middle School) and high school years (Freeman High School). He has coached wrestling at Godwin High School (since the 2004 - 2005 school year).
Trey started his formal training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the end of 1997. He joined the BJJ Revolution team in 2002, and received his purple and brown belts in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Julio "Foca" Fernandez and Rodrigo Medieros.
Trey's teaching style is very detail-oriented, and he makes sure each and every student training with him understands the techniques and concepts he teaches.
Russ Helm
Russ is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Eric Burdo and Julio Fernandez. He began his grappling career in 1997, and has competed and placed in a variety of tournaments, including Copa Atlantica and VABJJ events.
Testimonials
Trey and I both come from a wrestling background and his Jiu-Jitsu
training style just "clicks" with me. I have travelled all over the
world while in the military and for security purposes, and I have
never received such complete and thorough attention to detail in my
training as I have with Trey. His approach to technique is to break
down each position and the important details that are involved. He
then goes over "why" these details are so important. He transcends
from the beginning to the end of each move in an easy to understand style.

Trey Martin and I have trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu together since I
started four years ago. He has been a constant support and friend
through all that time. Through his guidance, my wrestling game has
vastly improved. He knows the most wicked jiu-jitsu techniques I have
ever seen so working with him is always rewarding.
